Eight o'c1ock Wednesday, May 27, 1959, in the Ridge- dale auditorium more than six hundred persons watched the orderly processional of forty-two Seniors, the largest gradu- ating class held in the Ridgedale district. Impressive are these participants of the second annual commencement as they appeared costumed -- girls in all white with red tassels con- trasting the boys' red gowns with white tassels. Spectators were aware that each graduate was thinking of their motto, The Road of Toil Leads To the City Called Success. Learning the rules and good sportsmanship in the fol- lowing games provided a well rounded curriculum: basketball, softball, volleyball, tumbling, kickball, and our daily exercises. For some of you it is ahappy occasion because it provides you with a passport to further education, but for all of you, it launches a new kind of life. The kind of life this becomes depends upon your readiness and willing- ness to accept the responsibilities that will be yours.
