HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR SEPTEMBER School opened, sure swell to see all ottr old pals. First baseball game, Doggone lost I4 to 0, Le-ok Perty Yep! had our individual pictures taken. OCTOBER Y-Teens installed their officers, in which their Mothers attendee. A tea followed the Meeting, -Poor Freshmen--Initiation. Loads of fun wasn't it, Sandra you'd sure make a good football player. -Elected our cheerleaders, they are Dotty Lou, Mary , Margaret, and Cartha. -Seniors went to Marsh and had their pictures taken. -Had loads of fun at the F.F. A. 's fall party, Some odd costumes and faces were displayed. NOVEMBER -Opened our basketball season with Middle Point over there, Really was a good game even though we did lose. -Played Union in baseball, Yipeeceeeeeel we won 4'5- -Juniors had their class play, Have a Heart. It was rea lly swell kids. -Look at the Birdie, had our group pictures taken for the annual. -Played York in basketball WE WON---Really swell game fellows, -Thanksgiving vacation, all our waistlines were greatly increased, Had a high school skating party at Y which resulted in back aches. Basketball game with Buckland. Tough time fellows. DECEMBER Basketball game with Delphos Jefferson on their new gym. Shucl-as--we lost. Craml Craml Every pupil tests. Game here with Ohio City, good game but lost, Y-Teens Christmas Dance , Santa was really good to us wasn't he? Ball game at Convoy, lost, but that's O.K. Guys, Christmas vacation started, Santa stopped at all our houses. JANUARY Ball-fe'haEl game with Union here ---- ---- B oyl was .t a THPILLER, WE WON ............... Bazlvetball game at Hendon, Nice try but they won. Delayed Chr.stmas program because of too much grzcw, It was enjoyed by everyone. Evelyn Kerns, !.1aryEllcn, Marion Davies, Dotty bou, aid Dot. Played Wren, here, Rather a gloomy night. Lost. Sophomorea had a box social, how did you like the 44 16-- cooking of the girls in the high school, fellas? Really was a swell evening, --llad a basketball game at Hoaglin Jackson. Mighty good try, fellows. --Basketball game at Ohio City, we lost but just one of those things, FEBRUARY A game here with Middle Point. Shootl we'd like to have won, but such is life, Good attempt anyhow. Evelyn Kerns, Marion Davies, Doris Hines, Dick Evans. Don Davis, DeWayne Hyman, took the Senior Scholarship test at Van Wert High School. Y-Teens had their County Banquet at the Y'2 The girls turned out very well on our attendance. Basketball game with York. It was truly a killer- dillerl But luck just seemed to be with them. Junior High Tournament started at Hoaglin Jack- son. We really walloped Wren. Good game boys. Started County Tourney at Delphos Jefferson. Dotty Lou our Candidate from Ridge entered the contest at Schlnes for Miss Valentine. Juniors sponsored an Alumni game here at the school. A nice evening of entertainment. MARCH F.F. A. Had a party here at achool. Everyone en- joyed themselves very much. Loads of fun. Grades and Junior High presented their Operetta. It was swell kids, Seniors had a supper here at school to raise money for class trip. Mmmmmmmmm and was the stuff good! APRIL Preliminary tests. Baseball game at Hoaglin Jackson. Athletic Banquet. County Y-Teen dance at Y ,Everyone had a splendid time I'm sure. We're many of your toes smashed, Girls? Baseball game with York. Ooooooooohl Those Seniors and their Class Play. Sure was good, didn't you think? Don't strain your voices kids. Yip the County Vocal Festival at Hoaglin Jackson. MAY Y-Teens Free Nite at the Y Boys and all had a wonderful time. Swimming, skating, and dancing. High School had a skating party at thc Y which as usual caused aches and pains. The most eventful time of all. Our Prom, Thanks loads Juniors for the swell one. It was bcatttiful. The last few words to us. Our Baccalaureate Services. Welll Kids .... That was it Q Speeches, Diplomas and the send off. Commencement, which wc will long remember. Yipeeeceeeeeeceeeel Last day of school. However we will never forget the wonderful memories which will rest in the back of our minds, as to our old school days back at Ridge.
