Margaret Dunifon nt Advisor ............. Mrs. l-loltkarnp The Ridge Y-Teen Club consisted of twenty-five girls and our advisor Mrs. Holtkamp. A candle-light service was held to install the new club members and officers. A tea followed the installation with mothers and friends attending. Mrs. Jarvis and Mrs. Cvallamore were guest speakers at our regular monthly meetings. Movies were shown at one of the meetings. The Y-Teen Club took care of the check room at the home basketball games. The Club also held a bake sale to raise rnoney. The Y-Teens sponsored a Christmas Dance, which was enj oyed by all the high school members, teachers, and friends. The admission to the dance was a pair of socks, which were sent to an orphanage. Our project for the year was to buy new slip covers for the davenport and chair in the Y-Teen room. We also sent a box of chocolates overseas. Marilyn Ritchie was named County Y-Teen president. Mary K. Poe represented our club at Dennison University last summer. The Club gave an Easter Chapel Prograrn in April. Althougr. our activities have been limited during the year, we have enjoyed singing under the superb direction of lVliss. Evans. D ie to bad weather, our Christmas Program was postponed but everyone en- ojsed the program that was presented in January. This program consisted of a ,nay by the first and second grades, a Christmas Pageant by the third and fourth grades. and a Christrnas Operetta by a group from the first four grades. Our Glee C. in sang, Carol ofthe Bells and Sing Songs of Joyn. '-Ve uvere represented at the district solo and ensemble contest at Lima March ZW, by Bonnie Lu Logan, a piano solo and Dotty Lu Stewart a soprano solo. 'Ire County ,Spring Festival was held at Hoaglin Jackson School on April 29. The rnas 1, chorus was under the direction of Mr. Herbert Jones. The Girls Glee Cnr, from Ridge sang, Prayer Perfect and The Woman In the Shoe .
