HISTUHU UF THE IILHSS UFIHBI Our first year in school we had 14 members in the class. Our teacher for the year was Miss Mildred Slattery. The second year we were taught by Miss. Stocker. Not very many of us remember her. The third year we added two new members to our class. They were Joan Johnson and Barbara Hines. We had Miss Ruth Slattery for our teacher this year. Then in our fourth year we had to study harder. Our teachers were Miss Uncapher and Miss Smith. As we became fifth graders we were learning more and more. We had two teachers this year also. They were Mrs. Edna Ritchie and Mrs. Allen. Our sixth was the same or most nearly the same as the fifth year. When we came back for our seventh year we were glad to find that Mrs, Allen had been promoted to the seventh grade to teach us. Our eighth year was fairly important for it would get us ready for High School. We had a newmember join us. It was Jim Moorman. Teach- ing us this year was Mr, Roy Hebb. Now we were full-pledged Freshmen after a wild initation. We were known as party-crazy for we liked to have parties. Our Sophomore year we didn't have much to worry about. We had several skating parties that year, Then came the beginning of an important year. We were to give a prom. We weren't very worried for we thought we could give one without much trouble. We gave that year our Junior Class Play Miss Jimmy Then we gave a one act play also. Aunt Miranda's Will was given at Bowling Green where we received ratings of Excellent, Good, and Fair. We lost a member at the end of our Junior year, Joan Johnson and gained another from Van Wert, David Herminghuysen. At last we were Seniors. We like it, yet maybe after we graduate we may wish we were back in school. The Class Play for our Senior year was given. The officers for the year are as follows: President . . . . . . Jim Moorman Vice President . . . Dave Heminghuysen Secretary . . . . . Helen Dunifon Treasurer. . . Jean Geisman Reporter . . Patty Gillespie This page sponsored by PURDY MOTOR SALES 9
