BOYS' BASEBALL f Y N Nu, ra - K .. - 4.4, --LJ' FIRST ROW: Richard Prior, Paul Hoverman, Gene Thurston, Manager, Robert Cryer, Gordon Rogers. SECOND ROW: Mr. Leonard, Billie Eaken Harold Holland David Miller, Willis Palmer, Richard Weigle, Mr. Moser. The team started out in fine shape and at the end of the fall session was near the top in the league stan- ding. The season started with a tight game with Hoag- lin-Jackson who was hard to defeat. We finally came out victorious by one point. The next close game was with York from whonwe won with a margin of one point. Another close game was the game with Convoy in the fall with Con voy being the victor by one point. All winter long we held our hopes high thinking the be ours. With the advent of spring pitcher,Austin Uncapher, contracted unable to hurl for the Tigers.This in lineup and new positions had to baseball trophy might our hopes died as our scarlet fever and was necessitated a change A be taken by some. Therefore, the games were not up to par in effort put forth and excitement created. One game played which was out of schedule was that with Spencer- ville who won by a good margin. We take off our hats to Wren who played a fine game against us and we do congratulate them for winning the league pennant. We also congratulate Ohio City who won the county tournament. The season's batting average for the three highest are Austin Uncapher, .5753 Willis Palmer, .5715 David Miller, .55l. !
