JUNIOR CLASS The Junior Class can boast of only twelve members, having a reduction of six and an addition of only one since the sophomore year. As the one hundred fiftieth anniversary is being celebrated and the school year is coming to a close,the Juniors are thinking about their future. So many more fields of endeavor are open to them today as compared to pioneer days. However, the number of fields of work is not so important as the fact that each individual focus his eyes toward one,--that is, have a goal in mind, for without a definite goal success is question- able. Each junior seems to have a goal in mind for there are five prospective and young stenographersg Helen Walser, Ladora Shivley, Mary Ickes, Carolyn Clark, and Kathryn Capperg two flourishing farmers, Doyt Moh- ler and Lawrence Duvall, three enterprising engineers, Austin Uncapher, electric, Carl Smith, diesel, and Alf- red Baxter, refrigerationg one beautician, Pearl Ickesg and one commercial artist, Shirley Allen. The honor of having the best farm account book in the F. E. A. goes to a junior member, Doyt Mohler. The Juniors were entertained by the Seniors on Oc- tober Sl with a weiner and marshmallow roast,plus cider and a treasure hunt which made a full evening and full juniors and seniors. The Junior Class play, Hhigh Pressure Homern, was given in the fall. How Carolyn Clark loved the roman- tic scenes! How Helen Walser JUST loved to go to funer- als! How becoming Mary lckes looked with her flower- garded'hat! How Alfred Baxter makes love! How father- ly Austin Uncapher can be! How excited Doyt Mohler can get! How sacrificing Shirley Allen can be! How Kath- ryn Capper loves to shirk duty! How Lawrence Duvall loves to promote! How Pearl Ickes loves to have her own way! How Ladora Shivley loves to go visiting! How big hearted Carl Smith is! How will it ever be forgotten? On March l7 the Juniors held a St. Patrick's Day party at the schoolhouse. The social activities for the school year came to a climax with the Junior-Senior Prom. Everyone came feeling as daring as pirates to an atmosphere so pirate- like that one soon forgot tho ordinary calm and peacecf every-day life, and became truly piratical. The class officers who guided us and made the year a successful one are Mary Ickes, President, Carolyn Clark, Vice-president, Shirley Allen, Secretary-Treas- urerg Pearl Ickes, Rocket Reporter, and Miss Engelhard, Class Adviser.
