It even proposes, for money caused Luther CHerbert Sidersb to propose to Mrs McLean fvirginia Taylorl. It makes one to strange things such as turning time backward as did UShepn Knittle and UJulietU Prior when they donned clothes of the very young in an attempt to put through a merger of a purely monetary nature. They so influenced their associates that they, too, became seemingly rather ntechedn in the head for a short time. UCynthian Engle nSylvian Flaherty, and Uwilburn Holland carried on in riotous juvenile style much to the disgust of relatives and friends. Such actions mentioned may be permissible without many grievances but when a doting grandmother, HMatil- dan Haines gets the idea that she can become a little flapper, that is too much. Also, when the immediate family has so much influence on the cook, UMinnieH Sealscott, that she appears ten years younger in five minutes, one just doesn't know what to think. One remained calm,--the real estate agent, Edith Walser, who from all appearances was a successful bus- iness womang one remained aloof, the socialite, Ruth Faller, who with head in air, looked down disapproving- ly at the belittling behavior. Yes, money was, and is, responsible for many ac- tions, but finally love conquered and Luther and Mrs. McLean were happy, as well as the ndarling youngsterak

CLASS WILL Everyone has at least one outstanding quality. This quality dominates that person and makes him more impres- sive,--making the memory of him just a little clearer, just a little deeper, and just a little fender. Perhaps that impression has been so great that it changed the life of an associate from a dull uninteresting one to a full worthwhile life. One is greatly impressed by predecessors as well as associates. One hundred and fifty years ago there came to this Northwest Territory people who had such outstanding qualities that the memory of their characteristics influ- ences us today. First, they were rugged, fearless indi- viduals ready for any undertaking. These pioneers were determined, and with their ingenius foresight undertook the colonization of the land west of the Alleghany Moun- tains, then dense woods, an undertaking calling for cour- age, strength, and endurance. The pioneers have always been examples to us,--ex- amples of courage, determination, foresight, endurance, strength, and fearlessness. Today we are still pioneering,--people are attemp- ting new things, undertakings requiring just as many qualities as was required of the pioneers. of l958 is not without these qualities. The Class It, too, has had achievements, twelve years of achieving a better mind It wishes and a stronger body. to leave some of these qualities to those remaining behind hoping that its benefactors may be urged to greater heights by having had this little en- couragement. VIRGINIA TAYLOR wills her dramatic ability to Jean- nette Stemen so she can overcome stage fri ducting a chapel program, as she will not the senior class play is over. HELEN GORMAN wills her love for red Smith so he can find a place for Geneva heart, as Helen feels that perhaps red hair will not look so good in her kitchen color scheme of lavender and yellww. MILFORD HOLLAND wills his shyness around girls to Byron McCoy who needs a little encouragement in the next two years, or he may become the well-known Hwall floweru at the oncoming social activities. The foresight of PAULINE HAINES is loft to Austin Uncapher who seemingly cannot visualize a situation uu- til it has been placed before hi . EDITH WALSER wills her gift of gab to Lois Jean Da- vies who with this adfiton to her many outstanding qual- ities will certainly be a great success in anything she undertakes. ht while con- need it since hair to Carl Etgen in his
