For The firsf 'rime in fhe hisfory of This annual dance an independenl organizafion, 'rhe lnfer- Frafernify Council of Rider College, conducled fhe Mayfair Ball. Due lo a limifed number of pledges The senior class furned over fhe dance lo fhe council. The War Memoria-l Building was secured for The ball and open house al lhe four chapfer houses was announced by fhe council. lf was a complefe weekend climaxed by an informal picnic on Sunday affernoon. This affair was unique in fhaf The Infer- Frafernify Council, rafher fhan any class organiza- fion, fool: fhe burden of work as well as a possible financial loss. ln coniunclion wifh Dean Wrighf, 'rhe council presidenl, Joe Licciardi. and The council members planned every defail of The ball. Mr. Fred Forbes assisfed by securing Mrs. Candy Jones Conover To selecf 'rhe Queen. The Mayfair was a social as well as a financial success, and had one of fhe largesf dance affendances of 'rhe year.
