He allended several colleges, including Washinglon and Lee, Lafayeile, Ruigers, and Columbia. Recenlly he was awarded an honorary Doclor ol Laws degree from John Marshall College. Dr. Gill firsl came lo Rider as +he graduaie manager oi alhlelics. Laier he held posilions as placemenl direcior and dean of 'ihe college, becoming vice-presidenl' in I94O. During Presidenl Moore's absence as a member of The armed lorces, Dr. Gill acled as president relurn- ing aclively To his dulies as vice-presidenf and regislrar in I946. His invaluable experiences as an execulive of Rider College have made lhe vice-presidenl ehfeclive in promoiing efficiency lhrough- ou+ fhe school. As a leader in many civic organizalions, one of his mosl recenl honors was his eleclion as Lieulenanl Governor of The New Jersey Disiricl of Kiwanis lnlernalional.
