Golfing ar Rider wirnessed a highly successful season in I948. Wirh an amazing record of 'ren wins and only 'rwo losses. rhe boys downed some of The beslr opposirion in +he area. The highligh+s of The season were Rider's wins over Lehigh Universiry, Villanova College, and Manhallan College. The golfers won Jrheir firsf ren confeslrs and were only defeared, in very close con+es+s, by Rul- gers and Lafayelle la+e in lhe season. Individual slandoul on The links +his season was Eugene Scheifler, who rurned in The season's besr average wirh a 79.7. Scherfler was followed closely by loorh John Kemak and Perer Terpalc wirh 80.8 and 8I. respeclively.
