2 f Opening he experiences we have in high school are the ones we will remember the most. As teenagers, we are constantly facing paths which lead in new directions. Rider High School did not let us down. It was there for us, not only as a place to get an education, but also, it allowed us to discover ourselves and experience new emotions. We found friends we could con- fide in, cry to, and share the happy times with. They were there when we made mistakes. Together, we travelled the path that allowed us to create our per- sonality. Although we faced the path together, we became different. Our at- titudes and characteristics are unique. There will never be anyone quite like us. We learned responsibility. When we made committments, we kept them. lt did not matter that we had to sacrifice time. We were dedicated. Sometimes we felt as though we could not go on, and that is when we realized that we had a limit. Somehow, though, we managed to keep a constant pace in our search for new directions. Some chose to push their mental ability to the limit, making the best grades possi- ble. Others were involved in sports, demanding the most of their physical abilities. Still others were part of organizations which kept them moving in a positive direction. Nearly everyone was involved in something different, yet we all were striving for the same end - to be better than ever before. Let us not forget those of us who were less involved in school. It was not because we chose to be uninvolvedg we held the ti- tle of employee We worked long hours for the minimum wage of 3.35. There was a feeling of independence as we cashed our checks. We were able to reach our goals. We might have been buying our own car or simply just paying for our own lunch. Whatever the case, we enjoyed travelling the paths of the business world. There were times when it seemed that our lives were not going anywhere. Yet, everything has a purpose. ln some way, every experience brings us closer to our goals. Opportunities always exist to par- ticipate in new experiences. However, we must search for these opportunities, and upon finding the path in which they lie, follow the path as in leads us in New Directions. Table of Contents pening. . .
