GIRLS AND FRESHMAN both contended to make their organization the best in Raider history. Girls choir's 66 senior, junior and sophomore members strived for unity to produce blended, rounded tones. The choir had a busy Christmas season, singing five concerts in 12 short days, with a finale at Sikes Senter. Next, after the annual Sweetheart Banquet in February, the girls looked forward to a trip to Six Flags in May. A special fund raiser the choir profited by was the selling of T-shirts with a Raider logo to boost school spirit. Fund raisers helped 24 Organisation finance the May trip and banquet. Spring concert was the last duty of the girls and the choir came through with flying colors. Freshman choir also worked hard, knowing that in January they would have a chance to audition for Girls Choir and the next year for A cappella.
