SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY After graduating from R. H. S. in 1949, I became famous as a woman engineer, I now own the largest railway line in the world. Thinking of my good fortune I wondered how my classmates were getting along. For this is 1959, ten years since we left dear old Riddle High together. The headlines of the paper caught my eye. John L. Lewis has died and a woman is taking his place. Why it’s Eileen Hammersley, one of my classmates, she always was a good boss. Who should be ushered into my library but Gladys Rupp) I hadn't heard from her since she became a missionary and traveled to many foreign countries. Her latest trip was to Africa. Together we took a trip to the heart of New York City and who should we meet but Richard Ritzman. He has become a famous clothes designer and owns a large department store. Rich told us this about our graduating class of '49. Laurel Zumwalt is a celebrated movie star and is noted as the best actress on the screen. She has starred in many of the latest hits. James Townsend has taken championship as the world's greatest wrestler. He has made millions and is soon going to retire. Jennie Howard has become very successful in the business world for she is now the personal secretary of the President of the United States. Jennie always did go in for the big business. Don Riddle, this I should have guessed, is a very well known comedian. He is now starring in a picture called ''Life With Riddle”. He, also, has many radio programs. Alice Schneider owns an art studio in the heart of Manhattan, and her work is known throughout the world. Besides excelling in paintings of scenery and the high lights of the world, she is, also, a great portrait painter. Jack Carter is now the sole owner of the manufacturing of Carters Little Liver Pills. He inherited the business, and since owning it he has improved it greatly. You can buy the pills in any size, color, or quantity. Clarice Burgoyne is running for the governor of Oregon. Oregon will have its first lady governor as the latest news of the election was that she will win by a landslide. Eugene Swanson is a professor at the University of Washington and is known for his lectures and books on the up-to-date Chemistry. With this good news I leave the thoughts of my classmates. Knowing they have made a successful life for themselves during the ten years that have elasped since we parted from school. Now I must get back to my mansion on Long Beach. 10 Marjorie Boyd
