SENIOR CLASS HISTORY President......................Laurel Zumwalt Vice-President.............................Don Riddle Secretary-Treasurer............Jennie Howard Class Colors ..................Blue and White Class Flower........................White Rose Advisor......................Mr. Arthur Brown Motto. . . .The Eye of Learning Looks Ahead. In the fall of '45 a group of wide-eyed, frightened Freshmen journeyed into the halls of Riddle High. Cautiously awaiting the fateful day of initiation, we became alert, grasping all hints available as to what the future held for us. As Sophomores we entered school with high spirits, looking forward to the coming events. With sixteen members we were the largest class in high school. During the latter part of this year we journeyed to the Oregon Caves, a trip much enjoyed by a happy, carefree group, looking forward to the next two years. Upper classmen now...waiting to join into the events reserved for us, such as the Junior-Senior Banquet and Junior Class Play. On one balmy afternoon, of this year, Mr. Cook and a happy group of Juniors went to the South Umpqua Falls. As Juniors we contributed greatly to the athletic field of volleyball and basketball. Mighty Seniors...twelve of us now. A year full of fun and one that will be long remembered. During this year the Douglas County “B League Tournament was held in our gymnasium. We had four girls on the volleyball team and three boys on the basketball team. Skip Day, Junior-Senior Banquet, Senior Minstrel Show and Graduation which took place in '48 and '49 climaxed our final year.
