PRINCIPAL COTTON Principal D. H. Cotton, and Mrs. D. H. Cotton, Secretary. MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF T955 R icker Classical Institute will remain even though you will leave its environs. Remember, you have actually become a part of Ricker through contributions you have made. Ricker has become a part of you through the impressions it has left on you. Let us hope, then, that you will never believe that the mere act of graduation severs this relation- ship. Rather let us hope that this relationship grows and that your i'n- terest in and your contributions to Ricker Classical Institute will continue and our Institute will grow into an ever finer school as the result. David H. Cotton 5

PRESIDENVS MESSAGE Members of the Student Association of R. C. I. As there are three great prepositions in American democratic terminology--OF, BY and FOR, -- So these three vital words are an integral part of R. C. I. 's democratic make-up. OF THE PEOPLE. Ricker's administration, faculty, and student classes are OF THE PEOPLE. They have power and authority only because of the consent of a constituency, a board of trustees, and a student body. BY THE PEOPLE. The extra-curricular activities are illustrative of rule BY THE PEOPLE. The gears of all student activities are put into action BY you--R.C.I. 's students. FOR THE PEOPLE. Student elections, the student council, and all organizations, enforced con- stitutional laws, and the outreach of academic and student activities are FOR THE PEOPLE of R. C. I. As each of you leave the campus, these prepositions will become dear and real to you in both your business and social life. As you frequently take this copy of the AQUILO into your hands to relive memories of your days at R. C. I. , what memories they will be--majestic and achieving memories, stir- ring and quieting memories, memories of teachers and fellow students. l covet a place in your fondest memories and shall be ambitious for your success and happiness. I pray that God will richly bless you so that your unfolding future may always contain the challenge of a promised land. Faithfully yours, Robert L. Willett President
