Well, if you are, here's just the club for you. The investments club informs its members about the stock market and how to make in- vestments. Within the club, the members invest in stock which they feel will go up. This year the club had the privilege of having a stock broker come and discuss the market with them. The club met every two weeks at which time they traded stock among themselves or talked about the rise and fall of the market. The current events club discusses the problems facing the United States' economy such as the budget, unemployment, taxation, labor-management relations, governmental con- trol of business, and the general price trends. The Beginning and Advanced Bridge Clubs, under the leadership of Mrs. Dorothy Zin- ser, are very popular at R.C.H.S. The year's activities are climaxed by a spring party complete with trophies and refreshments. The Beginning Bridge Club is the largest ever. Its members learn the fundamentals of the Goren point system and enjoy the challenge of contract bridge. The Advanced Bridge Club members learn and use the Goren point system and gain understanding of the game of duplicate bridge which is being offered for the first time. Duplicate bridge is a rather unusual challenge for both students and sponsors of the high school level. By means of club dues from the 1961-62 and the current 1962-63 clubs, a complete set of duplicate boards has been purchased.
