 The Knights' castle GROWING IN EVERY Cafeteria addition began in early June Rich woods Community High School opened in 1957 with an enrollment of 1074 students, and today, 5 years later, we have grown to nearly 1700. With each year’s enrollment growing, the Knights soon outgrew the original building, and a new wing was added in 1958. Today as current en- rollment figures indicate our physical plant again needed to be expanded. The members of our community recog- nized the necessity of additional facilities and expansion; they, in 1961, endorsed and approved a bond issue which will add to our physical plant to accommodate an enroll- ment of 2300-2400 students. Truly we at Rich woods con- tinue to grow in all directions — not only our physical plant — but we as Richwoods Knights grow academically and socially. We are prepared to meet the world of tomor- row which will soon be today. 2
