(CLOCKWISE) Mr. Wheeler McDoug.nl. Mr. John Hall, Dr. Fre l C. Endres, Mrs. George Meyer, Jr., Secretary; Mr. Henry Tricbcl, President; Mr. Arthur Szold, and Mr. Ralph Iloorr. BOARD OF EDUCATION Richwoods Community High School is known for its educational standards throughout the State of Illinois and the nation. For a school to achieve such a repu- tation and scope, much work and planning had to lx gin long before 1957 when the school opened its doors to the first student body. In these years of planning for a new high school for the district, it was necessary for a group of dedicated citizens in the community to devote many hours of their time to the thought and dream of Richwoods Community High School. As this dream became a reality, community citizens continued their interest and gave of their time and ideas to help build Richwoods and help maintain its fine reputation. Two Irond issues for physical expansion have been j ass d in this District since 1957, when the school opened. This is proof that we live in a community where a sound education for their children is of utmost importance in the minds of the citizens. In this fine community we have a core of citizens who devote untiring energy and time as an elected body who serve Richwoods Community High School without any financial compensation. This group is always willing to sjx nd those extra hour's in planning and building of Richwoods. Each year from the time of the dream to the reality there has been a nucleus of interested citizens serving the better interests of Richwoods. This includes the present Board of Education — Dr. Fred Endres, John Hall, Ralph Hocrr, Wheeler McDougal, Mrs. George Meyer, Jr., Arthur Szold and I lenry Tricbcl. Other members of the community who have served this commun- ity as members of the Richwoods Board of Education are: H. Frederick Lange, Wil- liam B. Mattocks, Charles Pattison, the late Frank Perardi and Frank Pittman. We are proud of you, we arc grateful and appreciative, and as a token of our “thanks” we the 1962 Excalilwr Staff dedicate this 1962 volume to a group of the finest jx o- plc we know The Board of Education — District 312. Mr. Henry Tricbcl, President of Richwoods Community High School Board of Education, District 312 Peoria Heights, Illinois. 12
