Mr. Allen Mcttcmich Senior Faculty Advisor Mr. Leonard Korgic Assistant Senior Faculty Advisor We. as Senior Knights, came to Kichwoods Community High Scliool last year and united. Our first task as a class in our new school was to elect the class officers and student council members. Then the selection of our class rings, a difficult but important decision, was made. The climactic event was the Junior-Senior Prom, which the class of 59” successfully sponsored. Under the capable leadership of our advisor, Mrs. Margaret Ellen Richardson, and our assistant advisor, Mr. Kenneth Barton, last years activities were very profitable. As seniors, we eagerly started to school this fall with many plans for our last and most important year. The senior highlights this year have been many and varied. Leading our class were John Blossom, Jr., president, Bob Creamer, vice president, Lee Ann Culmer, secretary, and Bill Ruther- ford. treasurer. Some of our senior class members were honored to be chosen physical education leaders. Preparing for college, under the direction of Miss Helen Curran, Dean of Girls, and Mr. Richard Erzen, Director of Guidance, we attended College Day and Scholarship Night where we learned about the various colleges and the scholarships available to us. The Campus Caper’s and Susy Secretary's potluck dinners, advised by Miss Helen Curran, were held for the girls planning college or business careers. A number of our class members were awarded scholarships for their academic efforts. The first dance of tin- school year, sponsored by the senior class and the first Homecoming Dance, sponsored by our fine Student Council, were very successful affairs. We were all pleased with Kichwoods first Homecoming Queen, Mary Gummcrson, who was crowned by Dan Sills, Student Council President, and her equally beautiful senior court, Nancy Barker, Lee Ann Culmer, Donna Ginthcr, Lucia Meyer, Jan Moreland, Gail Rubin, and Sue Ward. The girls’ escorts were Ken Allen, John Blossom. Jr.. Mike Few, Steve Giddan, Dean Jameson, Wheeler McDougal, Jr., Tom Morgan, and Chris Roby. After working so diligently, we thrilled to receive first place in the float contest. The senior banquet, dance, and all the graduation cere- monies will be cherished by all of us for a lifetime. Our energetic advisor and assistant advisor, Mr. Allen Mettcr- nich and Mr. Leonard Korgic, truly helped us to have recognized academic and social achievements throughout the year. We seniors have sincerely enjoyed attending such a fine school as Kichwoods Community High. We certainly will remember our alma mater and intend to return to see all the progress made, and recall the pleasant memories of our high school davs. ANDY ALBRIGHT B;isketball; Golf : Cross-Country.
