Seniors The first day of school in the fall 1954 was a puzzling, but exciting one for mem- bers of the Freshman class. Everyone seemed to know where to go but us. As Sophomores we began to take part in some of the extracurricular activities. We also held a dance to raise money for our senior trip. We began to realize that we had to work together as a class to achieve this goal. The following year we were Juniors. This was the busiest of our high school years. We had to order class rings, collect stamps, serve dinners, and hold dances. In all of this rush and confusion we found time to present Mumbo-Jumbo, directed by Mrs. Dilger. We also made plans and decorations for the Junior-Senior Banquet which was held in the elementary school cafeteria on May 3. Before we knew it, we were Seniors. We served dinners, collected stamps, held dances, and ran the basketball concession stand. We presented a second comedy, Once in Every Family, directed by Mr. Cochran. We ended our high school career with the Junior-Senior Banquet, Baccalaureate, and Commencement. On June 1, we left for Washington D.C., the last time we were together as a class. 10
