The four large units of this new offering are (a) Latin America, (b) Communist Bloc Nations, (c) Africa, and (d) South East Asia and China. United States History is a two-semester class of the eleventh grade. A passing mark in this class is one of the legal require- ments for high school graduation in Cali- fornia, A full-year course, American Govern- ment, has replaced the former one-semester course called Civics.
