ACTIVITIES sponsored and paid for by 'Phe Senior Class, was held in +he Spring of I929. Prior io 'rhis, 'there had been Junior-Senior Banquefs, which origina+ed in l9l7. The climax of 'fhe Senior year, 'rhe Senior Ball, surprisingly enough, did noi come info exislence under 'rhis name un+il June of l943. There had been ofher senior balls given pre- viously, buf 'rhese were no? sponsored by ihe school. One Senior Dance in l9Il was given by 'rhe alumni. Anofher Senior Farewell Dance was held a+ Eas+ Shore Park in I9l3. Various oiher dances have been held during 'rhe 'lime before 'the esfablishmenl of lhe official Senior Ball. Senior Gaieiies, a varieiry show, was added as anolher acfivify in 'lhe Fall of l955.
