f The choirs ore divided into three sections. The beginning choir is cadet choir, of which there ore three classes. The next choir is girls' choir. The top choir is concert choir. All choirs ore under the direction of Mr. Dovid Davenport. The home economics ot R.H.S. consists of the basic study of cooking and sewing. Cooking class is also available for interested boys. Every student hos some contact with Social Studies during his three years at Richmond High. U.S. History, U.S. Government, and American Problems or Pocific Relations are required courses. For a major there are many other interesting courses, such os Americon Neighbors, Economics, Geography, Modern History, Personal Problems, Psychology, World History and Codet Teaching. : BUSINESS CURRICUL The business department of R.H.S. is divided into three curriculums. The bookkeeping curriculum offers four semesters of bookkeeping. The stenographic curriculum offers four semesters of typing and three semesters of shorthand. The general business curriculum offers the basic business classes needed when entering the business field. Various business courses are given with these three curriculums. Distributive education is a newly formed class which offers an opportunity to put training into practice by working in a business firm. 16
