Progresses Proudly Seated: Joyce Zimmer, Sylvia Kerns, Janet Petiy. Standing: Mr. Simmons, Suzanne Weber, Vicki Kanost, Tom Anderson, Linda Randall, Roberta Chestnut, Douglas Kurdys. Absent: Jane Sponsler, Breta Lawshe, June Clarkson, Ron West. The PIERIAN staff functioned this year as a club. No scholas- tic credit was given, but the journalism experience, the fun of producing a yearbook together, and the plain hard work were in- valuable. Room 315 was apparently a chaos of paper, ball point pens, and strayed pictures every day from 2:25 to 3:20 and LATER: but out of all the scramble for copy, pens, and photos came this 124-page 1957 PIERIAN for R.H.S. and its friends. We are par- ticularly proud of our new feature in the back of the book— the index of names which enables you to find on what page or pages students and factdty pictures are found. We of the 1957 PIERIAN staff sincerely hope that you, reader, enjoy this book as much as we did in producing it.
