of Dishes, Buzz of a Saw The operation of business machines is another skill learned by our commercial students in Office Practice class. R.H.S. commercial graduates are prepared to work in most office jobs. One of the more varied subjects at our school is boy ' s cooking. In room 304 the kettles steam and dishes rattle during third and fourth hour as the guys don their aprons and man the kitchen. Our cafeteria was brightened up considerably by the new curtains. Although it is sometimes crowded, our cafeteria provides a pleasant place to eat and visit. Miss Stinson and Mr. Sponsler take their lives into their own hands every day as they teach R.H.S. students to drive. It ' s really not quite that bad, for a dual-controlled car is loaned to us by a local dealer. Our vocational curriculum includes such courses as wood shop, me- chanical drawing, printing, auto mechanics, welding, machine shop, and vocational drafting. In these classes, our boys acquire skills for their future livelihood. Auto Mechanics class shown hard at worl Miss Stinson, Jim Sawyer, Jim Zeiler.

Our Student Council conducted the annual Open House on November 15th. We proudly and sometimes reluctantly introduced our parents and teachers, and they beat around the bush con- cerning- our schoolwork. A planned program for interested parents was put on in McGuire Hall, and the film, Chalk Dust, was showrr. Our Tac Club at YWCA is in its second suc- cessful year. It is the largest teen center in the United States, having over 700 members. The Tac Club is governed by a student Tac Council and is managed by them. It provides a check room, coat room, snack bar, and one large all-purpose room used for dancing, ping-pong and television. The Tac Club is a student center after the games and on away-game nights. It is something to be proud of, for it is our club, run by us and for us. A group of students taking a break at the afternoon drop-in. A Favorite Coiner at Tac Club. Hub-Bub at the Tac Club 11
