It sponsors many types of exhibits with everything from the modern- istic designs to the provincial patterns. It has helped promote the study of art in the Richmond schools, thus developing many artists in our town. The association owns a number of very valuable and famous paintings which are kept in the McGuire galleries. Each year there is an art exhibit held in which young and old alike can participate. Many people from all over the United States have visited our galleries and art shows. 38 Just a few things that make up sports at R. H. S. Her court consisted of Carolyn Petry, Judy Patterson, Barbara Turner and Charlotte Sweet. 56 Soft lights, sweet music by Johnny Whited and his orchestra, and wintry decorations created a snowy winter wonderland for happy dancing couples. This being the very first Snow Ball in R. H. S. history, excitement was especially high and everyone really enjoyed himself. The beginning of the holidays put everyone into a gay mood. All those faces in clubs to identify, copy to write, deciding what pictures to take and where to put them, getting the sophomore, junior, and senior pictures in alphabetical order, all these are just a few of the many things we had to do. In our spring semester we were glad to gain new faces on the staff and sorry to lose some old ones. Besides getting the year book out, we sponsored a sport dance and the Footlightsf' We lived from one dead- line to another, and were we ever relieved when that last picture had been taken and the last bit of copy sent in. We felt that all our Work was rewarded though, when we saw our finished book. As we went through it, we could remember so many funny incidents about almost every picture. The time . . .
