Z Richmond Winthrop Richmond Lisbon Richmond Erskine Richmond Alumnae Richmond Hallowell Richmond Erskine Richmond Lisbon Richmond Winthrop Richmond Hallowell Our first practice was called by Coach Perry around the first of November. After the first practice we were held up while the gym floor was being repaired. We then settled down to the hard work of building up our team. Of the 18 girls that showed up for the first practice, about five dropped out. Ann James was our manager, and might just as well be called part of the team. We thank you, Ann, and hope that you' ll be right back next year. The whole team would like to thank Coach Perry for putting his time in and for helping us to gain our victories. I am the only senior on the team, and want to wish the girls and Coach Perry the best of luck. Nancy Holman '55

Despite losing, Richmond played gallantly and drew much praise from the fans. Ronnie Leibowitz's display of running and passing from the spread formation was outstanding. He completed 9 out of 19 passes, and gained most of Richmond's 73 yards on the ground, and threw two touchdown passes to Ed Coughlin ILV.'s Qcont. from 511 Coach O' Brian started out the year with the remains of the squad that was cut from the varsity.
