Waltz, Manager, D. Bates, D. Wheeler, M. Hinkley. . SOFTBALL We started the 52-53 softball season about the middle of April. We had about 12 players. We played 5 games, won 3, lost 2. We had both heavy batters and top performing fielders. Our Coach was Mrs. Dore. H. S. Chuckie is a newcomer to our school this year, and he has graciously fulfilled his duties as janitor of our school. We all wish to thank him for his untiring efforts to keep the school neat appearing at all times and ,never once have we been ashamed to have an outsider come in for a visit. Their record was 4 wins and 2 defeats. The boys did a very good job. Their opponents were tough ones to beat.
