Of the 16 who appeared 12 were veterans. The fou.r new freshmen were: M. Hinkley, D. Bates, C. Anderson, and E. Leibowitz. Coach Perry spent many hours Drilling us to get in shape for another good season. We came through our third season undefeated, 51 straight wins, to date. Our big game of the season was against Bliss Business College at the Lewiston Ar- mory, Dec. 5. 1952. We played a prelim game to the Harlem Globe Trotters. We played 16 games this season and are planning a few more. Throughout the year we've lost a couple of girls, who we hope will be in the line up next year. Manager Emelene Hinkley deserves much credit for the good work this season. Al- so l must mention the good work of our guards: who have stopped our opponents and struggled to get the ball giving the forwards great chances to spark. Late in the season the girls received new uniforms which were badly needed and greatly appreciated. 1 Coach Perry is working on our trip to Boston. We are planning to play a game while there. Coach Perry has spent many long hours helping us gain our victory. I would like to thank Coach Perry, for the Girls team, for being so wonderful to us, I also want to wish, from the Seniors, the Girls lots of LUCK in the future. 'Good Luck Girls and Coach Perry, we're sure you can do it! Sports Editor L Maxine Waltz 53

There was a large turnout with quite a few veterans back from last year. The boys, being very well coached have done a very good job this year. Their re- cord is 15 wins and 2 looses. fNot including tournament games.J Richmond finally came through a successful year winning the K.V.C. Tournament. The boys really deserved it. They've played great ball this year through much team- work. They defeated Erskine Academy in the play-offs at Waterville on Thursday, Febru- ary 19, then journeyed to Winslow High School and defeated Oakland by just a narrow margin and then again at Winslow took the final game defeated Freedom Academy 51- 31. They received a beautiful trophy. A The boys have been slated to play in the Western Maine Tournament. Their first game is with Falmouth at Lewiston on February 26. Congratulations to the team and Coach Shanelaris! A Next years team looks just as successful as this years was, losing only the Seniors. GOOD LUCK BOYS Gil Hinkley 53
