WILL THERE BE A WAY We are joined all together Now look at the sadness in Korea On this land below the sky, It soon will be a war, What we are really doing here And if we are not careful We often wonder why. 'Twill be the worst we ever saw. We think of things that are going on The boys there are getting killed Wondering what will happen next, Many more each day, For when you look right at it We wonder if Mr. Eisenhower We're really in a fix. Will soon find a way. We hope that soon there'll be a change We hope there'll be a way, So all the boys in Korea Will be home with us to stay. Bette LaRochelle '54 u AT SCHOOL Do something each day to bring gladness To all whose pleasures are fewg Do something to drive away sadness OI CHUSC S0lTle0Il6'S dreams IO COITIC ULIB. Find time for a neighborly greeting And time to enjoy all friendsg Remember, the years are flying And school's final day will soon end. Do something today that tomorrow Will prove really worth whileg Help someone to overcome sorrow And greet each day with a smile. For only through kindness and giving Of friendship, service and cheer, Can we learn the glory of living And finding our happiness here. Camille Cloutier '55 AN ATTEMPT With pen in hand I sit to write, A poem for English class, tonight, Though I'm not a poet like Poe, I'l'l try to write this poem just so. l'm not a poet as you may see, So will you sympathize with meg As I try hard my best to do, In form and rhyme and rhythm, too. R. H. S. The day I entered R. H. S. What was ahead I never had guessed With all so new, what was I to do But just to follow the rest. rr 'C J in ls ,., 'Sf' 3 fall . W' 'V fl ,V 1 We learned in English, rhythm to use All those funny words to chooseg Anapestic, Trochaic, and Iambic, Do you wonder how we could stand it? Now we've finished the poems of Poe, And how to scan them all just so: So now I'l1 end my rhyme tonight, Because in Poetry I'm not bright. Gail Stuber '54 Then the year of '51 was done But what lay in the year to come? So back to school to a different desk And to the class considered the best. Upstairs in the room, on the left of the hall Is where we have the most fun of all, And what class could the noisy one be? The Junior Class, that's plain to see.
