Cheerleaders Row 1: Jeannie Kicinski, Chris Leach. Row 2: Dottie Braun, Melodee Dimick, Kathy Eschenburg. This year the cheerleaders built up more school spirit than Richmond has seen in the past three years. This was done by using new cheers, skits, and ideas. During football season they had fun creating spirit on the side lines while standing in puddles of icy water. They never gave up, they cheered and cheered until they were hoarse, and still they cheered. They made signs, sold tickets, and made new friends wherever they went. Varsity Basketball This year’s basketball team at R.H.S. was one of new- found spirit. This spirit was brought about by our mem- bership in the Southern Thumb League which has schools of our own class. The Devils also had a new coach, Mr. Wightman, who brought a new brand of bas- ketball to R.H.S. 56 Seniors Ken Potts Tom Treend ., Mike Matich Absent: Jim Kaatz Dennis Bauman Junior Varsity Row 1: B. The Blue Devils played a hard game in the pouring rain, but lost to the New Haven Rockets 12-13. Queen Bonnie Taylor was crowned at half time by the 1966 queen, Pat Goff. On Saturday night, October 14, the Homecom- ing Dance, Crowning Glory, was held at the Will L. Lee School. Music was by the Five Men. A fine time was had by all. 64 )ming '67 Senior representatives, Karen Bialk and Marsha Hensch, Queen Bonnie Taylor and their escorts. 65 Sophomore Melode Dimick, Junior Connie Cone, Freshman Nancy Chartrand, and their escorts. Crowning Glory 66 67 The Mousetrap “The Mousetrap,” a thriller by Agatha Christie, is in the fifteenth year of its original production in London. The high school Drama Club chose it as its Fall, 1967 offering. A box set was constructed for the production, marking the first of its kind for many years in Richmond. The cast members worked with Eng- lish accents to give the play a convincing English flavor. Despite being scheduled along with the 8th grade party, two town dances, and the opening of hunting season, the play was considered a success by the small audience which attended.
