JOYCE TA BOR Glee Club Class Secretary Yearbook Staff Class Treasurer Hot Lunch Agsistant Junior Prize IAN Safety Patrol Yearbook Staff Chips Board Class Plays Operetta Glee Club LT PRIOR .......................1-Z-3-4 Chips Board ................ ............ 4 ....................3-4 ............2-3-4 .........................'...3 Class Hlstory It IS wlth pleasure that the Class of 1952 recalls the four happy years of our school career years of opportumty for each of us In the fall of 1948 twenty promlsmg young Freshmen undertook a course that was strange to us but that we looked forward to w1th eagerness It d1d not take our class long to get lnto the swmg of hlgh school 11fe however espec1a11y after the Sophomores had g1ven us a hearty receptlon and welcome Our advxsor Mr Patterson helped us w1th our year s program and dzrected our Chrlstmas play The h1ghl1ght of our second year was the operetta Once 1n a Blue Moon We were proud to have leadmg roles ass1gned to the followmg members of our class Elame Gr1ff1th .Tanet Prlor and Robert Burnell Other members of our class also took part ln thls operetta whlch was sponsored by the Clee Club When we returned to Rlchmond H1gh School ln the fall of 1950 as .Tumors we found our enrollment decreased Lols Buley and Shlrley R1ckert had transferred to Cathedral Hmgh School Also Carlyle Bennett had enllsted ln the Natlonal Guard and was ln tralnmg at Camp Plckett the Forty thxrd D1v1s1on and has been statloned for several months wlth that l1I'11lZ1T1G81'IT1al'1Y Others who had also left our class by the txme we were .Tumors were Everett Lewls Gary Prlor Leonard Salvas and Madelxne Burrltt Durlng our J'un1or year we presented the one act play Not Oulte Such a Goose In our Senlor year there have been few changes 1n our class enrollment We were happy to have Shmrley R1ckertjo1n our class last fall We have been busy thls year wxth several projects that are new to R H S Our class has worked dllxgently on our yearbook the flrst annual to be publlshed at R H S We have taken part ln the Vermont 1VIus1c Festlval as members of the R H S Glee Club and Orchestra For the first tlme our school has been represented at thls conference by umformed groups e are mndeed proud to have thls dream come true durmg our Qenlor year Another project of lnterest to many was basketball Although we were not able to schedule mterscholastlc games we have enjoyed learmng the fundamentals of thls sport and hope that the program may be broadened ln the future O Q . p . 9 l ' 1 . . . , . , . 1 - Virginia.
