Washington Trip At 12:05 March 29, thirty-three Seniors and two chaperones left Richlands for Washington. About noon Monday the bus breezed through Richmond and on to Williamsburg. In spite of a drenching rain, the eager seniors and chaperones toured Williamsburg and then James¬ town. Tuesday morning, assisted by Representative Grady Dalton of Richlands, they toured Richmond. During an interview with Governor Almond, all of the seniors shook hands with him. (“Skip” Harris managed to get back in line for an extra hand shake.) After leaving Richmond the students visited Mt. Vernon be¬ fore arriving in Washington. Wednesday morning they toured the Capitol and several other places of interest. That afternoon they attended a Dress Parade at the United States Naval Acad¬ emy at Annapolis, Maryland; later they took a moonlight cruise down the Potomac River to an amusement park. All day Thursday the happy seniors again toured Washington. That evening they attended a cinerama movie. At 6:00 Friday morning an exhausted group boarded the bus for the long journey home, stopping only at Natural Bridge, and Lee’s Tomb. The travelers pulled into Richlands at midnight, a tired but happy group. The most lasting impression will be the companionship en¬ joyed on the bus by the congenial group. Students are entertained by “talent.” Sleep on the return trip home! 119 Washington! At last! SENIOR BANQUET The food is delicious! •f, Everyone has a good time!
