With only nine girls reporting for action the Tigerettes prospects were extremely dismal as the season opened. However, they overcame the handicaps of number and lack of experience to win the respect of the entire community as they refused to quit and gained revenge for several early season defeats and went on to win the Sectional at Ainsworth and participated in the District Tournament at Oskaloosa.
