National Honor Society lg SEATED: Left to Right, Mr. Donald Kerr, Sponsor: Hal Rusk, Keith Thomas, Laverne Messer, Karen Erwin, Secretary: Iolene Weber, Ianet Houseal, Iulia McCracken, Donna Adam, Grace Pepper, President: Diana Peterson, Vice President. The Richland Chapter of the National Honor Society is known as the Torch Club. The group had lunch together every other Thursday. Their meetings dealt with subjects and projects that could improve conditions around school. Membership in the Club is obtained by invitations, after faculty approval. Scholarship is one of the principle requirements for consideration. The school newspaper is a section in the Richland Clarion, the weekly newspaper for the Richland area. The staff pictured above assembled and edited the items presented to the school editor.
