The scene above will recall these events as they actually were for those who participated in them. Exhorting the students to display their enthusiasm are the four cheerleaders. Left to right they are: Shirley Lankford, Donna Adam, Harriett Cobb, and Mary Robinson. The fact that the camera caught them all four off the floor is indicative of the extreme unison in which they worked. Their colorful appearance at all athletic can- tests brought much favorable comments from fans and foes alike. Their conduct and attitude was a credit to the school and community they represent.
