Joylynn Nichols The only regularly starting Senior, Joy- lynn started all twenty- one ball games played this year and was elected co-captain at the close of the season . Her tal- ents will be sorely missed from the guard section next year. Uur Girls' Basketball Squad The Tigerettes fielded the youngest and most inex- perienced team in years, with all six starters of the previous year lost by graduation . The opening line-up often con- tained three freshmen, and sophomores figured prominently in the season's play. The Fact that they won twelve games while losing eleven augurs well For prospects next season. The girls played in the County Tournament at Hedrick and the Sectional at North English and all visited the State Tournament at the close of the season . The scene above will recall these events as they actually were for those who participated in them. Exhorting the students to display their enthusiasm are the four cheerleaders. Left to right they are: Shirley Lankford, Donna Adam, Harriett Cobb, and Mary Robinson. The fact that the camera caught them all four off the floor is indicative of the extreme unison in which they worked. Standing forlornly in the center circle is Tony, the mascot who was expected to bring good luck to all Tiger teams . 1 Z f ill '
