lhe Assembly Whether you refer to it as the Assembly or the Study Hall, it is the one place around which a major portion of our daily activity revolved. It was here that the entire student body assembled for roll' call twice daily, at 8:45 and 12:30. Our principal classrooms are adjacent to it and most of our assignments were pre- pared there. Our library, reference materials, and daily newspapers were in close proximity and the large, attractively painted, and pleasant room was generally considered our headquarters at Richland High School. The lunch line Perhaps the most pleasant activity of our daily routine is our participation in the school lunch program. The 12:00 bell or the noontlme fire whistle was our signal to go visit with Mrs . Steel. This year we moved into a new dining room which was a marked contrast to the crowded and no1sy concntions which pre- vailed when we ate on the balcony. Now the spacious room and quiet atmos- phere creates a pleasurable experience exceeded only by that aroused by par- taklng of one of Mrs. .Steel's delicious meals. The s.cene below was snapped just prior to the start of our trip to Hedrick to the Keokuk County Instrumental Music Festival. 0
