HARRISON STEEL AND CASTINGS CO. Attica, Indiana Class History Eleven members of the 1956 graduating class started their school career in 1944. The beginning pupils were Norman Bales, Gladys Beckelhymer,Haro1d Duncan, Ar- thur Hayman, Jeannine Hughes , Nancy Jones, Kedric Krug, Norman Martin, Joy Slauter, Janet Smith, and Sharon Stucker. Through the years the following pupils became mem- bers of our class: Karen Kerr and Lois Simpson, the third yearg Pat Risk and Edwin Smith, the fifth year, Delores Kolaiser and Jerry Potter, the sixth year, and Clyde Dur- nil,Jack Durnil,and David Ronk, the seventh year. Dur- ing our senior year Bertha Kirsch and Donnie Warrick became members of the class and Lois Simpson rejoined the class after an absence of one semester. on 'x Y 11 Q9 Our grade school teachers were Miss Hester Kay, first grade, Mrs. Ruth Lucas, second grade, Mrs. Helen Oswalt, third grade, Miss Mary Catherine Hagel, fourth grade, Mrs. Lena Florey and Miss Hagel, fifth grade ftwo sectionsjg and Mrs. Florey, sixth grade. As juniors we held our Junior Prom at the Purdue Mem- orial Building. Our senior year was filled with many exciting and memorable activities. We were entertained most gra- ciously by the Junior Class at the Junior Prom. All of our plans for a senior trip came true and left us with a lot of wonderful memories.
