Text from Pages 1 - 192 of the 1973 volume:

The 1973 Richlander is dedicated to the memory of Mr. Don York, a man everyone liked and admired. Mr. York owned and operated York s Snackette. He had an ability to communicate with young people that most parents do not have. He was always friendly and interested in the students and school activities. He was a steady supporter of our baseball and basket- ball teams. It was definitely a loss to our community when Mr. Don York passed away, but he will be remembered forever by the dedication of this 1973 Richlander. Mr. Don York Nostalgia My soul stands at the window of my room, And I ten thousand miles away; My days are filled with OceanTs sound of doom. Salt and cloud and the bitter spray. Let the wind blow, for many a man shall die. ffy selfish youth, my books with gilded edge, Knowledge and all gaze down the street; The potted plants upon the window ledge Gaze down with selfish lives and sweet. Let the wind blow, for many a man shall die. Truly a pin can make the memory bleed, A world explode the inward mind And turn the skulls and flowers never freed Into the air, no longer blind. Let the wind blow, for many a man shall die. Laughter and grief join hands. Always the heart Clumps in the breast with heavy stride; The face grows lined and wrinkled like a chart. The eyes bloodshot with tears and tide. Let the wind blow, for many a man shall die. 3 ■mi PITTY, PITTY, PATTER” By Susan Raye. 4 MAGIO BUS Ey Steppen-(K)lf 5 M0RNIM3 HAS BROKEN By Cat Stevens HALLELUJAH DAY By Jackson 5 Mm: } ON By Hank Snow SON OF A PREACHER MAN By Dusty Springfield 7 THESE ErES By Gues?
