Mr. Pryor Ray Prewett instructs all aspects of mathematics and sponsors the junior class. He has a B. S. in secondary education, and has taught for fifteen years at RHS. Mr. James Monk is a member of the RHS faculty for the first time this year. He, a teacher of English I and II, earned his AB degree from Col- gate University. He taught in Rich- land grade school before moving to RHS. He and his wife, Lori, live in Richland. Mrs. Pat Luther, a recent college graduate of SMS, is from Sullivan. She taught home economics for the last half of the year. This is her first teaching position. She says that she and her husband like living in Richland. Mr. Roy L. Woodard joined the high school faculty this year. Our industrial education instructor earned his B. S. at Northeastern Oklahoma State College, and taught three years before coming here. Mrs. Omal Killings worth, a 1951 graduate of SMS with a B. S. degree, is spending her thirteenth year of teaching in Richland. She teaches Special Education.

Mrs. Martha Shelton taught home eco- nomics for the first part of the school year. She is married to a Lieutenant in the Army, and lived in Waynesville. Mr. Melvin W. Olson, history instruc- tor. has taught for ten years, two of them at Richland. A graduate from the University of Minnesota with a B. S. degree. Mr. Olson finds the challenge of teaching appealing. He enjoys golf, hunting and fishing. He kept study hall for two periods each day. Mr. Kelly Degraffenreid, a graduate of Southwest Baptist College in Bol- ivar with a B. S. degree, is our coach, as well as a senior sponsor. He en- joys hunting and fishing and believes in the slogan, ’’everything you do, do well.” He, his wife, Donna, and their daughter. Stacy, live in . Richland. Mr. Robert Jones, a junior class sponsor, joined our faculty this year and teaches physical educa- tion and driver education. He earned his B. S. degree from Henderson State College. He enjoys fishing and golfing. Mrs. Mildred Farmer earned a B. S. in Education and has exper- ience in teaching math, psychology and social studies. This is her twenty-second year in the Rich- land, where she has taught since she started. Mr. Rex Noe. our senior class sponsor, has given much of his time to our projects. Out of his nine years of teaching, Mr. Noe has taught for seven years at RHS as our authority on science. He and his wife, Kathleen, have three children, Kristine. Jeannine, and Kendall.

Grade School Faculty Mrs. Graham taught the seventh grade the first part of the year. Mr. Burke, the seventh and eighth grade science teacher, earned his B, S. degree from S. M. S. He is very anxious to try out Richland's golf course. He has chosen teach- ing as his profession because he is interested in youth. Mrs. Hankins, third grade teacher, is now spending her fifth year at Richland. She earned her B. S. de- gree from Northwestern State in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Her husband works with the Civil Service; they have one daughter, Marci Dawn. Mr. Brandon, after receiving his B. A, degree from Northwestern State in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, came here to teach, this making his second year. He is teaching seventh and eighth grade social studies. Mr. Skelton has taught nine years and came to Richland this year to teach the seventh grade. A gradu- ate of Central Missouri State with a B. S. degree, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and sports. He has three children, Deborah Ann, 22, Ray Daniel, 20. and Thomas Arthur, 15. Mrs. King, fifth grade teacher, earned her B. S. degree at the Mis- souri University. She has taught twenty years, fourteen of them at Richland. She and her husband re- side near Swedeborg. 23
