The Office Staff These seven girls had the honor of being cho- sen to serve as an assistant to Mr. Halter. These girls faithfully worked 180 periods a year con- scientiously doing the duties assigned them. Here are the daily duties of the girls in the order in which they work. 1st Hour: The morning begins as Kay Peter- son puts up the flag. She also starts the atten- dance record and helps Mrs. Noe run materials off from the duplicator. 2nd Hour: Lavonia Wilson types letters, files, and continues with the work of the day. 3rd Hour: Judy Stenson adds a little humor to the morning as she continues roll taking and does jobs that Mr. Halter or Mrs. Noe requests. 4th Hour: The hour before lunch Brenda Shultz must finish the work of the morning. This may consist of typing reports. 5th Hour: Elaine Warren begins the afternoon by again taking attendance and taking around any announcements. 6th Hour: Shiela Witt must help Mrs. Noe get her ledger up to date and in balance. 7th Hour: Wilma Boesl ends the day by finish- ing the attendance records and records in tne jour- nal. Her last duties are to take down the flag and anxiously ring the bell at 3:36 P. M. 10

Ray Mayes Elementary School Principal Mr. Mayes received his B.A. in Education from Southwest Missouri State College. A few years later he received his Master of Education from Drury College. He came to Richland this year from Branson where he had been elementary principal. Mr. Mayes job is to see that the elementary school is running smoothly and efficiently. Shirley Ogle Secretary to Mr. Mayes She started working as a sec- retary part time as a high school Senior and has continued since then. 9
