SW The Annual Staff got off to a good start by having our first meeting early in the year, and we elected our Editor, Judy Gorman, Associate Editor, Kathy Shewmalcer, and the advertising staff. Larry Lercher, George Wilson, Steve Traw and Nelda Jones started selling advertising immediately, and did a fine job. We wish to thank all ot the teachers for the help they were able to give us, and to everyone who assisted in making this annual a success. We have truly enjoyed working on it, and hope it will represent the friendship and spirit ot the school. .W , J x . o - .- '- .- ,4 4 yr ff ,M , 5 A is gii gh!!! u' 4 ,,.. -9 f ' s, 5 u ,3 -Q' 'F' . az 4 s . 1 : , -.M wg, Q ,,.1,,.f, A Slafp' .f xr. 1' slytiff 3 :-.,.f.:1un--Q wg, U 1 by , 'J 4 V Am i n 'J '12 ' .Ja A N-www mwswmewpu as adyt 'Qum- 5. -' Sf- , 1 ' 1 9 eaicaam The l96O Richlander is prepared as a tribute to our last year in Richland High School, and is dedicated to our sponsors, Miss Charlene Stokes and Mrs. Helen Traw. FRONT ROW: Doris Powers, Judy Gorman, u 1 ,Eg Judy Susan Ch an Jim Connie Don, posing for Dunning at Fall Pep Rally .add Q 5435017 On a very bright, dusty, and sunshiny Monday morning September l, T948, a group of mothers and their wide-eyed prodigies entered the old rustic vine-covered Richland High School building to launch their little SpUfnil4S on their first day of formal schooling--thus beginning their long sentence of twelve years to forced learn- ing in Richland's Educational Institution. Our school life was no different from that of any other class, except that we could think of more mischievous pranks to pull. Our favorite pastime activities were playing basketball, going to ball games, and chasing the members of the opposite sex. For the longest time the girls were so much taller than the boys. Then all of a sudden during our Junior High years, the boys seemed to grow up. Our Freshman and Sophomore years were uneventful, except for the class holding its own in all of the school activities. Our last-day-of-school trips for these years were to Bennett Springs and Doling Park. During our Junior year business picked up, we had a very successful variety show featuring the one-act play, Mushrooms Coming Up. The last half of the year was spent on preparations for the Junior-Senior Banquet. Its theme was Moonli Er Over Hawaii, and was the greatest success. The room was luxuriantly decorated and very beautiful. ear the close of the year we received our class rings, of which we were very proud. During our Senior year we have had bake sales, a talent show, a chili supper and comedy show, a donkey ball game, paper drive, and many other proiects to help us make the money we need to goto Florida on our Senior Trip. 4 Senior Class Officers DON LUNDH F .F.A . . .
