Principal Our principal, Mr. William A. Young, was born in Dyer, Arkansas, on May 16, 1928. He attended grade and high school at the LeRoy Public Schools in LeRoy, Kansas. Mr. Young received his A. B. degree at the College of Emporia at Emporia, Kansas. From 1950 to 1954 Mr. Young taught grade school at Benedict, Kansas. In 1954 he was Superintendent of Schools for one-half of the school year, before entering the United States Army. In August of 1957 Mr. Young received his Masters Degree from Pittsburg State Teachers College at Pittsburg, Kansas. In September, 1957, we received the honor of his presence as principal of Richland High School. Juanita Moales: Secretary to Principal. 8

Superintendent Arnold C. Franklin, Jr., our new superintendent, was born in Benton, Arkansas, where he also attended school. Mr. Franklin received his Bachelor of Science degree at the Henderson State Teachers College, Master of Education degree at the University of Arkansas, and took additional graduate study at the University of Arkansas and the University of Missouri. Mr. Franklin taught at Garlin and Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and at Phillipsburg, Missouri, before superintending Richland schools. Mrs. Francis Jensen: Secretary to Superintendent. 7
