In an all round outstandin year Geneva Hammond received top honors, being named All District, All Tarrant County, and Defensive Player of the Year. These players were Michelle Zeuge, Tracie Laster, Mindie Markham, and Missie Markham. Coach Powell said that she was very pleased with the teams per- formance and talent considering that 85 percent of the team was rookies. The Juniors from 1986-87 team look ahead to a stronger, and more experienced varsity. Despite a slug- gish season, Geneva Hammond said, The year offered a great opportuni- ty for the juniors to gain experience. Finishing up with a record of twelve and six the girls recorded a.5O0 per- cent winning season.
