Thursday evening the crowd gath- ered around a huge bonfire to watch a Pasco player burn . in effigy. The snake dance participants soon began wind- ing their way down the street to the park for dancing. Friday afternoon, at the assembly, lovely Queen Sharon Reed was announced with her court and Cecil Bell, a graduate of Col-Hi, spoke to the students. The parade moved down George Washington Way and into the Bomber Bowl, where Richland met defeat at the hands of the Pasco Bulldogs. The sounding of the trumpets announced the arrival of the royalty for the Coronation at the after-game dance. Following its arrival, the dance continued until 11:30, pro- viding fun for all. Nlurals of underwater life, a pink castle, and the large shell surrounding She-lton's hand carried out the theme Atlantis Under the ripling ceiling, the soft music wafted out. When the music stopped for the inter- mission. the couples drifted into the cafeteria for cookies and punch. Those who attended will never for- get the fun they had at the 1956 Thanksgiving Formal. The Tolo Week started on Monday with the crowning of the king and his court at the assembly. That night, couples journeyed to the Kennewick Social Club: Tuesday was study night with the favorite guy. The girls invaded Hi-Spot Werlnesclay night. asking the boys to dance and to take them home. Theaters had a special price for couples wanting to take in a show. The gals had dinner parties Friday evening. Those attending the big Tolo Dance found an evening filled with wonderful memories. p .tw ' '7 ' ll' Y 'U cf' 'lip' e ' .fr-' ' , t ' Q . -,gif TQ. : p gff c ii- 'T' j , 'LT f rr- 1 - Lf ' ...T I X-xl' ' 5, I - 7 N E Q:-if in-L ' 4 l K Zh-N' fxyfxu-1-T Y Q t -c -1 'vs-is 4.
