The late hours spent doing loads of homework never marred the feeling of doing well on a test-, they only made it better. Long, tiring practices never dulled the elation of winning or the thrill of performing; they only made it more special. Sometimes it seemed as if the work would never end, as if the only reason for our existence was work of one kind or another.
