Among these are that he must malce sure that the curriculum plans and the instructions that have been established are carried out properly. l-le is also in charge ot tinances, which includes setting up the budget. Mr. Harold Rasmussen must always keep up with educational changes in order to aid the Rich- tield public school system and malce it the best possible place tor learning. l Mr. Lytle, as chiet administrator ot the school district, is primarily concerned with providing the best education possible tor all pupils in the Richtield public schools. l-le works closely with teachers, administrators, and other community leaders, organizing and coordinating the educational activities ot the schools, By stimulating and maintaining an atmosphere in which teachers can achieve success in teaching and pupils can achieve V,,-f,, success in learning, the superintendent serves the community. The Board ot Education is the legislative body in the Richtield school Board determines the budget as well as the salaries ot the adminis- system. its members are J. Swanson, L. Dye, R. Carlson, R. Mr. Clair Barfosh, fhe leading man af Richfield Senior High School, has many responsibilifies fhaf perhaps we are nof aware of. His main iob is fhe educafion of fhe sfudenfs: buf along wifh fhis, he is responsible for fhe academic, curricular, and co-curricular areas. The greafesf problem fhaf Mr. Barfosh is faced wifh is keeping sfudenfs in school when fhey wani' fo drop ouf of school. Ofher serious problems are encouraging sfudenfs fo work hard, and nof curbing fhe enfhusiasm among fhe sfudenfs. Mr. Barfosh fhinks fhaf, Richfield is very lucky in having such an enfhusiasfic faculfy because if is fhis kind of enfhusiasm fhaf is passed along fo fhe sfudenfs and leads foward good cifizenshipf' Mr. Alfred Krinke, one of our assisfanf principals, is a iack of all frades, where he has many differenf iobs. ln- cluded in fhis is his responsibilify of acfing as a counseling parenf, disciplining sfudenfs when he finds if necessary fo do so, and handling program changes. Mr. Krinke's greafesf problem is wifh sfudenfs who lack fhe good behavior which is necessary af school. He is Mr. Barfosh's righf-hand man, which means fhaf he aids Mr. Barfosh and can fake over in his absence. Mr. Gene Olive, our ofher assisfanf principal, performs many dufies, among fhem is fhaf of being in charge of fhe complefe affendance funcfion. He assisfs in sfudenf confrol whenever he finds if necessary fo do so. He also has cerfain specific deparfmenfal responsibilifies and is in charge of fhe fexfbook invenfory as well as fhe issuing of fexfbooks.
