The Math Department provides several levels of education for people with different goals in mind. For those planning to major in one of the sciences or mathematics there is the three year program of accelerated mathematics. There are courses offered in plane and solid geometry, algebra, and trigonometry, for those students wishing for a solid basis in mathematics. Social Now, in my right hand I have . . . Boy. (hi sure is fun. The Social Studies Department at RHS is composed of a wide variety of courses ranging from American history through world history, social problems, psychology, and world affairs. The American history courses give the sophomore student an insight into his American heritage. Juniors, meanwhile, get a general view of the history of the world, while the seniors receive basic instruction in the economic principles of the U.S. in their social problems classes The psychology and world affairs classes at RHS enable the student to see the reasoning and motivations behind the actions of our world leaders today. It sort of gives a shadowy effect. 30
