The opening of the space age by the placing of a man-made satellite into orbit has prompted a hard look at education. Each senior has been a member of the senior high school during these events in the history of our world and has felt the impact of public opinion upon our educa- tional program. ln evaluating our present program of studies. as well as proposed changes, we have tried to keep our frame of reference an adequate education for each student-clearly defined. Much will be expected of each member of the senior class as he makes his individual way after graduation. Many will continue their education in institutions of higher learning, while others will go directly into the world of work. Wie can only hope that each senior took full advantage of the educational opportunities available in high school and that we were able to meet the needs of each student. The congratulations and best wishes of the entire faculty go with each senior as he or she steps out of high school into the next phase of the journey through life.
